SO Today at 9am I will be having all my wisdom teeth removed! They are knocking me out! I will not be blogging for at least tom. and maybe not Tuesday! BUT I will be sure to ask my husband to take a video so MAYBE you will have something to laugh at when I get back!

I hope your surgery goes well! I've had teeth removed before and it was not fun. Afterward I just took medicine and slept. And...I think they forgot to turn the laughing gas on because I was quite aware the whole time...didn't feel funny at all!

ReplyDeleteI had mine removed when I was 16, except mine were cut out before they broke skin. I had stiches on all four corners and had to eat nothing but liquids for days. They stayed sore for awhile. I was put out so I wasnt loopy at all.
Good luck...never had mine out so I have no advice but get plenty of rest! Feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteIt's been about 10 years since I had mine out. Back that we had to make sure we didn't suck on any straws or hard candy or anything afterward or we could get this painful condition called dry socket.

Poor thing. I hope you are feeling okay. I had three cut out at age 14. My fourth never formed. The three were deeply embedded in the bone and I still have deep pits in the bone to this day, now 61. I ended up with dry sockets which were terribly painful. I did it the day after Christmas so I wouldn't have to miss any school. My sister also had knee surgery that day so my poor mom had a rough few days.
ReplyDeleteGood luck today girlie! I hope it all went well and you are nice and drugged! LOL! I had mine out when I was 18. I was knocked out too. The only thing I remember when I woke up was I was bawling. LOL! The nurse or who ever was taking care of me told my mom that the drugs they use to knock people out sometimes puts them into a depression when they wake up. Lucky me! HA! Otherwise after a few days I was good to go! Take care of your mouth tho, the last thing you want to get are dry sockets! Yikes!!

Good luck Mama! I had all 4 of mine pulled at the same time and was down a few days! The meds made me sick, I tossed my cookies! Hope you feel better soon! Hugs!

ReplyDeleteGood Luck and I hope all goes well! I had mine taken out when I was 18. I had a party that same night. I was fine. I had some pain killers but they didn't make me loopy at all. I just couldn't suck on hard candy or threw a straw. The dentist said it wouldn't effect me much because of breaking my two front teeth when I was 7. That was the worst so this was a breeze to me.

Hope everything went well! I think my teeth are having sympathy pains for you! On Sunday one of my back teeth started hurting and I think i have a cavity! I hate mouth pain...not looking forward to going to the dentist! AT least this visit shouldn't leave me looking like a chipmunk :)
